Of Blondes and Bullets out now!!!!!

A fantastic launch from Number Thirteen Press, not to mention a fantastic cover and a great job editing the piece.

And it only gets better from there.

For a start, Paul Brazill - fine chap that he is - let me back into his gaff for a quick interview which you can check out right here.

(And take a wander down memory lane with my first interview over his place. How young I was then, way back in, uuuh, 2012.)

And then, to cap it all, Nigel Bird posts a brilliant review over at Sea Minor. How to pick a favourite line? Maybe "an adrenaline-fuelled tale in which nothing can be taken for granted." Yeah, that's pretty good. Or maybe "The action is breathless and the violence brutal... It’s not clear who’ll be coming out of things alive until the final words and this keeps the tension high till the end"

Yup, I think I'll go with that.

Many many thanks to Paul and Nigel and everyone else who helps to spread the word about this "good, old-fashioned noir presented in a fresh way." (Thanks for that one, too Nigel.)

Check out the book at Amazon, Smashwords, Createspace and other online stores.

What Are the Haps? I Hear You Cry

Well, these are the haps:

1. All Blood is Red continues to sell steadily. So ta very much my faithful reader.

2. (And this is the biggy) The very exciting Number Thirteen Press is going to publish my little novella, Of Blondes and Bullets. In fact it's their inaugral launch-making first book. Which makes me Number Thirteen's number one. And it's not only official and everything but it's even got an official cover and everything:

For those less in the know than me (seems unlikely) Number Thirteen Press plan to release thirteen novellas over thirteen consecutive months on the thirteenth of each month.

I don't know where they got the name from.

More about them here: www.numberthirteenpress.com

More about my book as soon as it's out, although hopefully it'll be up for pre-order right about now!

Out Now: All Blood is Red

It was supposed to be an easy job.

Don hadn't been able to work since he put the kid in hospital. He owed money to all the wrong people. So the timing was perfect and it was supposed to be easy. Follow the businessman, take photos, try not to fall in love with the trophy wife. Easy.

But when the antiques dealer ends up dead in a hotel room, the former London boxer finds himself over his head in the deep waters of Hong Kong.

And then the beautiful widow comes calling.

A classic neo-noir tale of sex, violence, greed and betrayal, at the heart of the city that is everyplace and no place at all.
